Apparel

-
Team suits can be purchased online directly via the ASC Ducks team store.
-
Sizing charts can be found under each item to help you determine which size your swimmer may need.
-
Swimmers are NOT required to purchase a team suit, but this is a quality option that will last throughout the season at a reasonable price.
-
Swim team registration includes a Arcadia Ducks T shirt each year. You will receive a latex team swim cap your first year
Swimmers are recommended to wear a one piece suit to swim meets. There are also goggles linked to the store for those in need of some! The swim store links to a wide variety of products for swimmers to choose from based on their age and preferences.
2026 Swim team General Information
-
We will not have morning practices while school is in session. We will normally practice on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, but we will have a few Tuesday evening practices as well (5/28, 6/2, 6/9, and 7/14).
-
This is a swim team, not a learn to swim program. We will teach your child how to swim each stroke correctly, but they do need to be comfortable swimming unassisted. It is okay if they need to take a break every now and then!
-
Swimmers will NOT be allowed to wear floaties at swim practice or meets.
-
Swimmers must compete in at least one regular season meet in order to be eligible to compete at the Davidson County Championship Meet. Swimmers will only receive awards/ribbons at the end of the season if they have competed in a swim meet.
-
If you have a child that is not sure about whether or not they want to join the swim team, please have them come to ONE practice during the first week. After that practice, you can fill out the sign up form and pay their swim team dues if they plan to join the team.
-
It is okay if your swimmer is not able to make it to every practice or every swim meet! We want to have your swimmer there as much as possible, BUT everyone goes on vacation and we understand! Please let me know if you will be out of town and will miss a swim meet!
-
I recommend that swimmers attend at least 2 practices a week. Your swimmer is not limited to only morning practices or only evening practices, they are welcome to come to any practice they would like for their age group! Some families come twice a week, some families come to every practice, so you decide what is best for you!
Our Coaches
The Arcadia Ducks are led by head coach Rachel Greene. Rachel began her swimming career as a Duck and has been coaching for 15 years! In the cooler months, Rachel is the head coach for TYDE swimming at the lexington YMCA and the Oak Grove high school swim team. She is supported by a team of assistant coaches and junior volunteers
